Sounds Electric

> Posted by Will Sokolowski in Uncategorized
05 7th, 2008

When the light is low
And no one’s around
I hear the sound
Of electric guitars
And when I’m feeling low
And there’s nowhere left to go
I hear the sound
Of electric guitars
And I didn’t know too much about the politics
And I’m not sure who’s wrong or right
There’s much to know about your limitations
Your aggravations, your realizations
From the past
And are you sure you know
That the things that you know
Are a reality
And not a fantasy, how about that
And if the light’s real down low
and the moods a little slow
I hear the sound
Of electric guitars

Dragging Frown

> Posted by Will Sokolowski in Uncategorized

Holding on, I’m standing strong
I’m standing proud, I’m moving on
But when the days keep dragging on
Don’t ever let them tell you that your lost
As lonely as the enemy
As driven as a madman
Don’t let the black and blue drag you down
Lose the frown
And take my hand
I dream of you tonight
And everything I do is because the miracle in you
I’m going away now
So sick of being sad
How does it feel
To be expecting such a beautiful thing
It’s you and me
Relieve me of the madness

Night Light

> Posted by Will Sokolowski in Uncategorized
05 1st, 2008

Who paid my mother
To take the light from my bed
I swear that I love her
But this is troubling my head
Just a little boys fears
Of spiders hitting the ground
Ugly, old men laughing
Under my sheets I’ll be found
My poor old mother
Who holds so much love
I fear that I’ll lose her
And there’ll be no more love
As my eyes grow tired
A scared boy drifts away
Without my little night light
To pave the way
-Just like losing faith in the world
Kind of like losing faith in your god
Maybe it’s like losing your job
But it’s hopeless to think that the problems run out
-When you’re older, and bolder
Without a night light by your bed
Or fairy tale angles protecting your head
From the everyday stress
That’s bringing you down
The commotion, the craziness, spinning around
In your head, day by day
The echoes slowly sound off
The beginning of the end
Without my lovely mother
I’m hopeless to mend

I Wonder

> Posted by Will Sokolowski in Songs for Another Day, music
04 30th, 2008

I wonder if you’d scream and shout
If you couldn’t have me
And what I’m talking about
It lies inside me
And if I couldn’t be seen
Would they still surround me
Nothing to talk about
When you’re around me

What if I couldn’t be seen
On the magazines
What if I was invisible to me
To me, to me, to me

Yes, it’s working right out
Working out of me
Because the last time I saw you
You didn’t love me
Do you know how you would feel
If the one you loved
Didn’t feel the way that you did
The way you really did

It’s working right out
Because I didn’t see you here
And was it working right out
When you were never near me
In this endless sea of everything
Everything

Were you talking to me
Because I’m right beside you
And if you’re talking to me
There’s a message on your TV screen
Nothing but an answering machine
Yes answering to me

I guess it’s working right out
Oh won’t you be beside me
And if I couldn’t be seen
Would you be there for me
We can talk it all out
No reason to shout about
Things we should walk away from
Walk away from
Run away from

For You

> Posted by Will Sokolowski in Poem Patrol
04 30th, 2008

Something to believe in
When your woman is gone
A better world for breathing
When the sea is dry and arid
The moon’s cold touch
In a searing blaze
A flaming heart
In the cold winter’s touch
Foot rest resting rotten feet
Pain relief in an embrace
A mere pat on the back
Whisper in the ear
That peace be with you
While I fight the battles within
For you

Solemn Promise

> Posted by Will Sokolowski in Uncategorized
04 23rd, 2008

Life reminds me that I am blessed. The love of another is pertinent to the healthy survival of an individuals soul. My reminder entails the beauty of a woman who shares a solemn promise with me. Till death due us part, in sickness and in health, forever and so on and such. She carries my new beginning, or the end of an old innocence. I continue to persuade myself to be hopeful, and reach to the outer limits where human relations hold no bounds. It’s her unlimited warmth, her devotion that sees it’s way to me, while I am so far away. My child bears good faith, brings happiness and is the one. To me, the one who is everything. For friends, family, family and prosperity that is in the name, and in great depths the center of human revelations, of why we are here, and why we continue to to be the way that we are.
-Along many lines virtue has fallen, with a lovely hand missing it’s enduring touch.

Sorrow and Madness

> Posted by Will Sokolowski in Poem Book Nation, poems, poetry
04 23rd, 2008

Lady love, persecute me not, for I have failed you
My reasoning betrays me, and my good faith pummels me
With it’s mocking laughter.
I blend into the wicked, the light not guiding me
But blinding me with it’s illuminating rays
I beckon to she who returns my favor
She who holds the knife blade, piercing my retching back
Awkward remedies cool my skin, my belonging retracting
Into nothing but theoretical questions
Of how I came to be
Persistent is she that holds her fate
With a twist and shake of sorrow and madness

HUMAN

> Posted by Will Sokolowski in life
04 20th, 2008

Everything you have ever said is true. All that you have done is in good faith. What you believe in is, in itself and all it’s bitter loneliness, is righteous. You are the pinnacle of human existence. Believe in this.
Drowned yourself in this. Open the mind to the dreams of the old, the sounds of history, the echoes of lives lived centuries and centuries ago. Let the world be your playground. Let it be your battleground, your field of dreams, your bridge to a common goal.
Achievement, gratification, procreation. Respect what has been made and left behind for you. Others created, shaped and formed what you are today. Do the same. Recreate the past into the future. Look into the eyes of creation and release it from it’s dark, barren prison.
Hold it, caress it. Kiss your existence with the absolute reason of being. Read of times past, read of the continuing history of life. Open the minds of others, of those who cannot create themselves.
Can one change the fate of another? Can it be said that it is you who balances the powers that come to be, juggling them with care and love of a mother.
Hold yourself in all your broken loneliness. Let yourself be buried on occasion, only to be born anew. A new soul, with new ideals, new hope of a strengthened mind set. Other roads will await, as will other obstacles, other tests that span the doom of time itself. All the life that gets cleared as the past is pushed away. Isn’t that the way?
I know that no one, or very few, will know of what has come, what passes to be. To on when is but our only closure. When and where does one choose? Intelligence is what carries on a reign of human form across the globe, bribing us with volatile emotions, luscious dreams, and thrills that rival that of a heart pounding roller coaster.
Pride yourself in your findings. Look for the creator. Brace yourself, for the words of worlds is filled with the knowledge of another race, as we are all too.
Read and write to better yourself. Empty your mind on occasion, so that all that is new may come upon you with such a crashing force that only you can withstand such a viscous blow.
Who made us? Knowledge of the past as far back as the measurement of time can remember, unlocks nothing. Make knowledge yourself. Learn from yourself in most, from others in the least. Search and search for what is known now as not at all.
All is nothing. Nothing is all. Who was first born, who was created? Was my fashionable entrance meant to open doors and mend wounds that spanned from eternity to mind blistering eternity? Call upon your inner-self. Learn it, love it, entice it into a paranormal passion. Make life a passion.
Remember the time of childhood, for in the end it is your sweet bliss. Uncontrolled emotion sparks a fuse that inevitably burns to a smoldering bomb that will end all existence, in your eyes that is. Music to the ears, remember this. It’s healing sounds. It’s thoughtful rays of serenity and forgiveness. Dance countless nights away, and when the time comes, recount your plight and adventure that spans lifetime to lifetime.
Life is your adventure, your story is your adventure. You are the hero in your own novel of love, anguish and perpetual healing.

Running Down Life

> Posted by Will Sokolowski in poems
04 17th, 2008

A little story to tell
Between you and me
About life in the big city
And what it can mean
To an innocent man and his wife
Who lived a wonderful life
Oh, how wonderful it can be
To live in the limelight
Because this man, you see
He sold his soul to me
And If I can’t have him now
He’s running from me
To run down his dream
With a baby
Lets wait and see…
All the wonderful things
And how wonderful it is
To laugh and cry among mortals
And oh can’t you see
What this is doing to me
You know, I know, that he doesn’t want to die
It brings tears to my eyes
Can’t you feel them?
Then came the fateful day
When there was nothing left to say
And the man passes away
His place will remain, I sing to this
He left a beautiful, wonderful boy behind

Is She?

> Posted by Will Sokolowski in Uncategorized, poetry

Standing on the corner, about seven or eleven in the morning I’m not used to the people or the chaos on the street I call for a taxi, but as I feared it blew right by me I must say that there’s something wrong around here I’ve lost my wallet, it’s cold and it’s raining My clothes are drenched, I’m hungry and I know That my destination is calling me, rain is falling and trying To bring me down and it hurts It hurts me so -And I need you but I’m drowning Searching for a way to meet you there I need you so, I’m drowning Please get me out of here -Time goes on, I make my way into Dover My heart trembles, I know I’ll find you there The coffee shop it calls, help dear, I’m drowning Help me please, release me from this prison -And I need you, but I’m drowning Searching for a way, but you’re not there And I need you, but I’m drowning I waited, but you weren’t there -Why did you have to go and leave me there Why did you run from me, why now, why tonight And if I knew that you went out with him Oh I’d cry, because somethings really wrong around here
